Anyone notice that my weekend project list is growing. Such is life. :) I just keep finding projects that need to get finished before I start back to work.
This next project is from a class that I took this summer with Gossamer Blue. I loved the idea of using paper bags as backdrops to my banner. Thank you Michelle Wooderson for putting together such a cute project for us. I enjoyed it.

A Summer of Scrapbooking
I don't remember how many years it has been since Diana and I have been able to scrapbook this much during a summer but in between projects I had to take a break and do some pages. Thanks Diana. I have enjoyed our scrapbooking fun.

Weekend Project #4 More School Fun
Another one of my projects that needed to get done this summer was making some numbers for the desks of my classroom and the computers.
I'm looking forward to getting these on my tables and equipment. :)
Since I am a Photography and Yearbook Teacher I thought Cameras and Shutters would be very appropriate for my classroom. I fell in love with these little Camera Labels from Loni Stevens. The labels make the perfect group labels for my desks. I finished off the cut by using red Stickles to dress up the hearts in the center.
For my computers in my classroom I made 1 1/2 inch square numbers. I left them on the sheet for now but scored the sheet into squares so that I can run in through the laminator as one piece then cut it when I am done. LOVE these Shutters by Alaa' K and Number Tag Set by Loni Stevens.
I also needed numbers for my student seats. The Project Life Honey & Jade sets were perfect for this project. I pulled out two cards of 31 different designs to number 1-31. I wanted a matching set to randomly draw student numbers. I then used my Silhouette to cut out the numbers 1-31 and glued them on. I'm looking forward to getting these on my tables and equipment. :)

Weekend Project #3 Where Grizzlies Shine Wall Hanging
With a newly built classroom I wanted to make a fun wall where I can show off my students' work. I decided to use a long wall in my classroom to display the words "Where Grizzlies Shine" and I plan to surround it with "best of show" photos my students have taken. I am excited. It is looking good.

Weekend Project #2
The second project I finished this weekend is a baby gift for my cousin's new baby. They are decorating their nursery in tans, browns and elephants so I thought this would work well. :) I love the little elephant. It is from the Silhouette Online and is designed by Rivka Wilkins.

Weekend Project #1
This weekend I decided to knock off several projects that have been laying around as well as a couple new projects.
-A wall hanging I saw at the beach "My Happy Place"
-My "When Grizzlies Shine" wall hanging for my classroom
-A fabric canvas wall hanging for my room.
-A baby gift that I need tomorrow...nothing like waiting until the last minute
-A baby gift I never finished for a baby shower a couple months ago
This first project is a spin off of a sign I saw at the beach. I wanted it to match my new comforter that is creams and grey. Then I added a verse to it.
I bought the wood slats on sale at Craft Warehouse and painted it with grey primer. I then cut vinyl for the lettering and placed it on the dried grey board. Then I painted white over the top of the lettering. After it dried, I removed the lettering to reveal the grey paint underneath. I sanded the board to distress it and then added jewels and ribbon. I love how it turned out
