With a newly built classroom I wanted to make a fun wall where I can show off my students' work. I decided to use a long wall in my classroom to display the words "Where Grizzlies Shine" and I plan to surround it with "best of show" photos my students have taken. I am excited. It is looking good.

Weekend Project #2
The second project I finished this weekend is a baby gift for my cousin's new baby. They are decorating their nursery in tans, browns and elephants so I thought this would work well. :) I love the little elephant. It is from the Silhouette Online and is designed by Rivka Wilkins.

Weekend Project #1
This weekend I decided to knock off several projects that have been laying around as well as a couple new projects.
-A wall hanging I saw at the beach "My Happy Place"
-My "When Grizzlies Shine" wall hanging for my classroom
-A fabric canvas wall hanging for my room.
-A baby gift that I need tomorrow...nothing like waiting until the last minute
-A baby gift I never finished for a baby shower a couple months ago
This first project is a spin off of a sign I saw at the beach. I wanted it to match my new comforter that is creams and grey. Then I added a verse to it.
I bought the wood slats on sale at Craft Warehouse and painted it with grey primer. I then cut vinyl for the lettering and placed it on the dried grey board. Then I painted white over the top of the lettering. After it dried, I removed the lettering to reveal the grey paint underneath. I sanded the board to distress it and then added jewels and ribbon. I love how it turned out

Summer Vacation in Seaside
Home from vacation at Seaside, OR. We had a great time and I can't wait to get my photos printed and make an album. :) Every time we go I take a photo of my husband and my kids walking into the sunset. Eventually I would like to make a timeline with all the photos together. I also used this as my Clouds assignment in my Big Picture Phone Photography class.

Big Picture Class - Phone Photography Project
I am currently taking a class from Big Picture Scrapbooking. It is called the Phone Photography Project. I originally took the class to get more knowledge about phone photography for my class at the high school but it is only the second day and I am having so much fun! Today my kids and I did an initial scavenger hunt taking photos with my phone as we found them and then put the photos into a collage using an app named Fuzel. We laughed and drove around town like crazy people trying to find the letters we needed. The kids loved it. This is the final product. I may even frame them for my wall.

Scrapbooking Fun With my Friend Diana
Diana and I try to get together at least once a month to scrapbook. :) This time I surprised her with the Elle's studio June 2013 kit. http://www.shopellesstudio.com/Elle-s-Studio-June-2013-Kit.html I bought a kit for each of us and Diana put some papers together to make our own challenge kits. We had a fun time and I made some fun pages including my page for the Bossy Scrapper. :)

June Bossy Scrapper
It's that time again. Time to play along with Andrea Ancich and the girls at bossyscrapper.blogspot.com.
They make a list of supplies, give you an example and tell you to make
your own layout using all those supplies. This month I was doing extremely well until I got to the title and couldn't figure out a one word title for the layout. :)
The June Challenge...
1. 6 patterned papers (NO cardstock!)
My interpretation...

Memorial Weekend Crafting
I had such a great and relaxing time scrapbooking Sunday night with a great friend. I used a Gossamer Blue kit featuring the DIY Crate paper line and Maggie Holms and had a ton of fun. I also threw in some Honey Project Life Cards and DIY Instagram transparencies.
I have found a stack of photos of Ellie when she was a baby to scrapbook. It is a great trip down memory lane. :)

Mother's Day Cards + One More
As always, I end up staying up late the night before a birthday or holiday making cards to go with gifts for the people I love. I was smart this time. I decided with the extras I would put together a extra Birthday card. :)
