My friend Diana and I decided to Facetime challenge each other to create a project using supplies that we love but don't use often enough. We had a ton of fun. This is what I came up with.
Challenge #1: Make a card using:
-paper from My Minds Eye's Away We Go 6x6 paper pad
-stamps
-banner dies from My Favorite Things
I ended up using my flip die and adding a Pebbles stamp, Lawn Fawn stamps, Technique Tuesday stamps, Doodlebug buttons, Studio Calico wood vernier shapes, and twine to the mix.
Challenge #2: Make a layout using:
-twine
-three different pattern papers from My Mind's Eye's Away We Go 6x6 paper pad
-Papertrey Inks Label and Die set
We had a ton of fun challenging each other to do somthing different. Thanks Di. I hope we do this again.

Wedding Wall Hanging
It has become a tradition for me to give name wall hangings to couples at weddings and babies at showers. This time I tried something new and tried the subway art style of using vinyl lettering to make this board. It turned out really cute. Basically you paint the board one color, lay down a layer of vinyl, then paint the next color and lay down another layer of vinyl and then paint the entire board a final time. After it dries, you remove the letters to show the colors underneath. After I finished I sanded the sign to make it look a little older than it was and added some bling. It really turned out nice.

Flip Scrapbooking Easter Page
I love this Heidi Swapp No Limits line of papers. The colors of deep orange and the dark blues was wonderful. I used a No Limits Memory File Folder to create the flip in the middle and to create a wonderful background for the rest of my photos. Being a file folder it was just the right weight of paper to hold the flip part of this page. I also used the Heidi Swapp stamps, pennant, and banners. The letter stickers are by Making Memories. The stars are punched from a Starbucks cup insulator. The washi tape is made by SMASH.
Open up the folder and pull the tab that says "open and pull" and the circle in the middle flips showing you the photos of my kids making faces.
Tons of fun. I really enjoyed creating this page.

Kids Star Rewards Chart
I was looking for a good way to reward my kids for what they do good everyday. I decided on a star chart. The kids need to finish all the chores for the day to get one star. They will move their task from the box on the right to the space under their name on the the left as they complete each task. At the end of the day if they do them all they get a star. Five stars and they will get a prize off of the prize list. I also gave the kids two tasks that are a little more of a challenge for them. They are "Bonus Stars." Anytime they finish a bonus task they automatically get a star for their bonus star line. Five Bonus Stars equal a prize from the prize list.
The chart is made from my favorite paper line of all times-October Afternoon's Rocket Age. The stars are die cut from Starbucks insulators. (I save all of mine. I use them all the time.) The letter stickers are Thickers from American Crafts. I also used stamps from Lawn Fawn.

Craft Warehouse Guest Designer California Mini Album
I am thrilled to design for
Craft Warehouse! I love Craft Warehouse. They not only sell crafting
products but they sell inspiration that sparks my creativity. Just
walking into their store is a wonderful experience for me.
I am excited to show you my Craft Warehouse inspired mini book today. This project was a ton of fun. I had a blast spraying and staining Heidi Swapp Color Magic papers and Banner Delights with all sorts of Studio Calico Mister Huey's Sprays and Tim Holtz Distress Stains. There is nothing like being able to create your project not only in design but being able to style and dye your own paper to go with it. I also used the Canvas Corp 6x6 Stitched Book. It's thick canvas pages and the design of the book was so much fun to alter and play with. I enjoyed this project from start to finish.
